An auspious birthday The event occurred in the last few hours of my birthday (31/01/2018). A wonderful way to end a pleasant day, under the stillest, quietest and clearest skies I think i've ever seen! During lunar totality the sky to the south was the clearest and darkest I've seen it. The slightest of Arural glows was also visible to the eye that night.
