‘In my Father's house’ was awarded inclusion in the inaugural St Bernard’s Hotel 20K Art Purchase Prize Collection for 2005. The painting depicts the view of Tamborine Mountain from St Bernard's.
The 2005 themes were: the mountain, oasis, and sanctuary reflecting the character of Tamborine Mountain. The award was judged by Dr. John Rigby.
"In my Father's house there are many mansions" (John 14:2) is a quote from the Bible that I like. Although I'm not religious, I have a deep love of myth and I agree with the sentiment that 'Myths are other people's religion'. ;-)
