Sun in the morning: Hedgerow, frost effect

Early July brought an amazing hoarfrost and I was up early to witness it, despite the bitter cold! I'd often thought to paint this section of the old hawthorn hedge as it is compelling in any light. Even the lambs like this spot, often resting in the shade there on hot summer days.
